We have been conducting our Photo Booth Rental business since 2007 and after analyzing a wide range of Canon cameras we have selected the following models as the best choice for Photo Booth applications:

Canon PowerShot S5IS, Canon PowerShot G9 or the Canon PowerShot G10.

These models work best for the following reasons:



Very Affordable

Small size

8-12 MP

Hot shoe for Flash

Inexpensive DC power supply

Perfect image quality


Just know that our choice of the best model is only our opinion.  With the photo booth being constantly moved and used by other people we just could not come up with any benefit of risking damage to an expensive EOS camera. 


It is your choice at the end but we recommend the Canon PowerShot S5IS, Canon PowerShot G9 or the Canon PowerShot G10.

4. Special support for SONY UP-DR200 cut driver.
UP-DR200 has the driver to cut the 4x6 media in half, and we
specifically modified the software to utilize this ability.
